Why do you celebrate Pride and what makes it important for you to celebrate it?
I celebrate Pride because it's the time where we celebrate people for being free to express themselves as they want to. It's important to keep celebrating it because today we as queer people are seen as weirdos or funny people, even in other countries we don't have the same rights as others. Until we are not treated equally like the rest of individuals the individuals, fight isn't over.
How would you describe your experience as a queer person in the workplace?
Expressing yourself as an open queer person in the workplace is difficult because we are used to hiding it in formal environments because of the fear of not being taken seriously because of that or even getting rejected due to preconceptions of your teammates and superiors.
Would you be comfortable sharing any learnings from your journey as a queer person that might inspire your co-workers?
The biggest learning, I got from my journey as a queer person is that you don't need to label yourself and the ways you behave, don't define your identity. Your identity is what you want to, not what other people think you look like. You don't owe people your identity.
